Original oil paintings — New England landscapes and seascapes, city scenes, and American sports history, painted with a lifetime of craft.
Kevin O'Hare began painting as a child, completing detailed paint-by-number landscapes by age seven and creating original oil paintings on canvas by twelve. By fifteen, he had already received his first offers to sell his work — and painting has remained his lifelong passion ever since.
Alongside his art, Kevin built a notable athletic and coaching career. As a junior ski racer he ranked among the top fifteen in New York State and qualified for Junior Olympic pre-qualifying events, once racing against Olympic gold medalist Billy Kidd at the 1975 Celebrity Day at Greek Peak, alongside 1952 Olympic champion Stein Eriksen. At Saint Michael's College he served as co-captain of both the varsity ski and tennis teams, and went on to earn certification through the U.S. Ski Coaches Association and the Professional Tennis Registry — coaching the Cornell University Ski Team and developing junior tennis players across Massachusetts for decades, including work with adaptive sports programs.
Today, Kevin continues to paint in oil — New England landscapes and seascapes, city scenes near and far, and moments from sports history — bringing the same discipline that shaped his athletic career to every canvas.
Forty-one original oil paintings — New England shores, the canals of Venice and Amsterdam, quiet European streets, and moments from a life in sport. Click any painting to view it larger.
